Update Contact Information

As you search Data.com Connect for contacts, you might find business card information that is out of date. You can update contact information right from the business card, to help keep the Connect directory accurate—and to earn points.

Example

Let’s say you find a contact who isn’t at the company identified on the business card. Even if you don’t own the contact, you can click Contact has left the company to provide the correct information and earn 5 points.

In this example, clicking I don’t know where this contact is now deactivates the contact. A community member who provides a correct email address reactivates the contact and becomes the royalty owner.

If you don't own a contact you can:

  • Update the name
  • Update the title
  • Deactivate the contact
  • Reactivate the contact
  • Look up the contact on LinkedIn

If you own a contact you can:

  • Update all business card info at once
  • Update the email address
  • Update the phone number
  • Deactivate the contact
  • Reactivate the contact
  • Export the contact to Outlook
  • Look up the contact on LinkedIn
